Supe-Breaking Action in The Boys Season 3 Image

In a stunning new image from The Boys season 3, Billy Butcher and his associates wear jumpsuits similar to those worn by the Ghostbusters.

With less than a month until the third season of The Boys premieres, a new image teases some supe-busting action. Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and showrunner Eric Kripke produced Amazon Prime Video's The Boys, which is based on Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson's graphic novel of the same name. The series follows Hughie Campbell, Billy Butcher, and the eponymous Boys, a trio of disillusioned superheroes like The Seven and the PR firm that allows them to operate, Vought International. The Boys has gained critical and financial praise since its premiere in 2019 for its humorous twist on the superhero genre and real-world satire. Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Chace Crawford, and Claudia Doumit will all return for season 3 of The Boys. Aside from the returning actors, the series will go deeper into Vought's past by introducing the superteam Payback, led by Jensen Ackles' Captain America parody, Soldier Boy. Season 3 of The Boys will feature a multitude of superpowers. Regardless, none of these characters will be wondering, "Who ya going to call?"

Season 3 of The Boys: Vought's Zombie Army Theory Expounded

The Boys' official Twitter account recently released a photo of the titular group wearing jumpsuits similar to those worn by Harold Ramis, Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, and Ernie Hudson in the Ghostbusters movie. Urban's Butcher, Tomer Capon's Frenchie, Karen Fukuhara's The Female/Kimiko Miyashiro, and Laz Alonso's Mother's Milk/Marvin are all ready to bust some supes in this post. Take a look at the following: The Boys, like Ivan and Jason Reitman's ghost-busting franchise, is set in New York City, the headquarters of the superhero group The Seven. While the former fights the supernatural with high-tech weapons, the latter fights superheroes with low-tech weapons and usually loses. All of that, though, appears to be about to change. Butcher's new powers are teased in the teaser for The Boys season 3, implying that he's taken some Compound-V to equalise the odds against all these news supes and, more crucially, The Seven's leader, Homelander. It remains to be seen whether the rest of the powerless Boys follow Butcher's lead and take Compound-V. In the season 2 conclusion of The Boys, Maeve coerced Homelander into leaving the true heroes alone after the devastating death of Butcher's wife Becca. Homelander's son was abducted at the end of the episode, giving Butcher, Frenchie, Kimiko, and Mother's Milk a sense of normalcy. Hughie chose to collaborate with Congresswoman Victoria Neuman, while being unaware of her genuine, explosive intentions. Season 3 of The Boys is set to be the most surprising ever, with the adaptation of the NSFW comic book arc Herogasm.
